Meet our super Sales Progression Support Apprentice – Kiah Winder

To mark this year’s National Apprenticeship Week, we’d like to celebrate the success of our Sales Progression Support Apprentice, Kiah Winder. Since joining Assured Sale and Progression in March 2022, Kiah has gone from strength to strength, embracing her role, and moulding her skill set.

Catching up with Kiah this week, she told us what life is like as an apprentice with ASAP, how she’s benefiting from the experience, and why she would recommend the apprenticeship route to others.

What attracted you to take on an apprenticeship?

“I first considered the idea due to a family member’s positive experience in the past. Hearing how they had started in an apprenticeship position and worked their way up through a company inspired me to take the same route. Also, being able to earn a qualification while gaining valuable work experience seemed like a great opportunity.”

What skills have you been able to develop so far?

“Over the last 11 months, I feel as though I’ve developed a host of skills while also learning a lot about the property industry. My confidence has improved and the experience has instilled a self-belief that I can succeed in my work environment. Also, with attention to detail being a critical part of my role, my ability to effectively carry out tasks involving memo writing and data moderation has improved. Daily conversations with clients and internal team members have also helped me to develop my rapport-building skills.”

What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship with ASAP?

“There are two things that I’d like to highlight as my favorite about my apprenticeship with ASAP. First, is the company culture that I’ve experienced. Everyone within the organization has been brilliant to work with since I walked through the door. Also, I’ve really enjoyed the hands-on experience in the property sector. I feel as though I’ve found an industry within which I can further my career and thrive.”

What advice would you give someone else considering an apprenticeship?

“I’d recommend an apprenticeship to anyone that is considering one. While we’re all different and the same route won’t be right for everyone, I can happily confirm that taking on an apprenticeship has been a valuable step forward in my career. Apprenticeships are a great option, giving young people access to a combination of qualifications, and working experience whilst also providing an income.”

Karen Blanchard, Sales Progression Support Team Leader had her say on Kiah’s success in her apprenticeship role.

“Kiah joined the team after brief employment with a firm of solicitors. In her first few weeks, she was quite shy but, over this past year, with the support of myself and the apprenticeship scheme, Kiah has grown immensely and become a confident and knowledgeable young lady. So much so that she accompanied both myself and our Training Manager to an apprentice open day during which she spoke to Teachers, Parents, and Students about her experience. Kiah continues to grow from strength to strength and I see a bright future for her with ASAP.”

The ASAP team is incredibly proud to be able to celebrate the success that Kiah has had since joining ASAP and we look forward to supporting her continued development.
